Apple iPhone 4S to Launch in 15 More Countries on Nov. 11

The iPhone 4S will be available in Hong Kong and 14 additional countries on November 11, Apple announced Tuesday.
Apple’s fifth-gen smartphone will go on sale in Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and South Korea next week.
While the iPhone 4S looks the same as the iPhone 4 from the outside, Apple has completely revamped the phone’s innards to include a dual-core A5 processor, a souped-up 8-megapixel camera, Siri voice controls, and iOS 5.
The iPhone 4S is currently available in 29 countries. Apple added 22 countries to the original seven last week. Next week’s addition will bring the total number of countries that have the iPhone 4S to 42. Apple said the iPhone 4S will launch in 70 countries by the end of the year.
However, Apple has not mentioned when the phone will launch in mainland China, the fastest-growing market for the iPhone.

13 million iPhone 3G sales are being projected this year.Analysts are excited, in particular Piper Jaffray. In his opinion, Apple will follow up with 45 million sales in 2009.
so, it’s likely to be bigger than Windows Mobile in what concerns global smartphone space, even though Apple will grab a meagre 1.3 per cent share of the overall handset market.

3G iPhone costs $224 for Apple.

The American analysis center iSupply evaluated the 3G iPhone cost and identified his main suppliers. For an 3G iPhone of 8GB, the cost price is about $174, against $227 for the first version of the iPhone. Adding $50 in the manufacture cost, for the intellectual property, the cost for Apple of one 3GiPhone of 8GB is $224.33.
The survey center notes that the conception of this new model aims a decreasing price rather than an innovation will. iSupply confirm that the 3G iPhone was thought to be affordable to a larger public than his predecessor in order to win market shares.
The 3G iPhone is sold $499 for most of operator, who subsidize it for about $300, which means a gross profit of 55% for Apple.

While Apple and its iPod are dominating the market of MP3 players, competitors offer new product which seem interesting. It is the case of the Samsung YP-K5 which propose between 1, 2 or 4 GB for MP3/WMA/OGG, tuner FM, JPEG with sensitive keys and 2x2W loudspeakers, for an autonomy of 30 hours in Walkman, and 6 hours with the loudspeakers.
It recharges thanks to a USB cable, and works with a Samsung Media Center to manage his music. The sound spited out by the loudspeakers is almost equivalent of laptop sound and it is as big as an iPod. It’s also possible to choose is own music for the wake up alarm.
But the YP-K5 is not compatible with a Mac even it can be recharge by a Mac with USB.
