For an 3G iPhone of 8GB, the cost price is about $174, against $227 for the first version of the iPhone. Adding $50 in the manufacture cost, for the intellectual property, the cost for Apple of one 3GiPhone of 8GB is $224.33.

The survey center notes that the conception of this new model aims a decreasing price rather than an innovation will. iSupply confirm that the 3G iPhone was thought to be affordable to a larger public than his predecessor in order to win market shares.
